It kills you to see them grow up.  But I guess it would kill you quicker if they didn't.

The friend had a great time last night! The boys were asleep by 10:30, which I thought wasn't too bad. Husband made them a pancake breakfast.

The guest called his parents last night before getting ready for bed, and they called again this morning to check what time they should come by. This was his first non-family sleepover, and they wanted to make sure all went well.

March Break is coming to an end. So far we have:

- gone to a cottage
- tried skiing
- gone on a Bike ride
- had sleepovers
- saw "Escape to Witch Mountain"
- played outside

I think the highlight was watching the boys try skiing.

How's your March Break been? Are you counting the hours until the kids return to school? Or are you trying to do a few more "fun" activities first?

Welcome home! Yes I did notice you were not posting as often as usual...We are having a great March break with my sister and neice in town for a visit. "Witch Mountain" is on our adgenda for tomorrow...yea or nay?

Here's our week so far...

-friends over to play
-cousin in town
-visit Parliament and walk around the Byward Market with lunch at Zak's diner
-Beavertails
-NHL game, Sens vs Buffalo
-Novice hockey tournament, 2 games so far
-Build a Bear for the girls
-lots or road hockey, bike and scooter riding and going to the park "without parents" (this is new and HUGE in our family)
-Museum of Civilisation for the Egypt exhibit and some time in the Childrens museum

Wow, I'm tired just writing that!

Sounds like you are having an amazing (and crazy busy) March break. Jealous of the beavertails - the line-up was too long at Blue Mountain. An NHL game, too? Lucky guys!

Do you remember the original Witch Mountain? I thought it was so great as a kid. The kids liked and it and wasn't scary - but consider it sort of average. If the kids are dying to see it, then go. If not, everything else sounds so great it may be a disappointment.

We are spoiled living in Ottawa as we often go to Sens games as the tickets are a) affordable (we can often get $20 tickets) and B)available and c) the arena is only about 5 minutes from our house. My kids don`t even know how lucky they are!

The kids watched the old Witch Mountain movies with we a couple of months ago and know it was one of my Fav`s growing up...think we may end up going just for the nostalgia factor and there is not much elso playing...

Our company has gone home now so we will chill out for the last weekend of the break!

You are too lucky! Living in Toronto, even if you wanted to go and watch the glorious Leafs, getting tickets is a challenge, and expensive. I've heard great things about living in our Nation's Capital! Hope the rest of your March Break was amazing. My kids did enjoy Witch Mountain. I can't wait until Monsters vs. Aliens comes out.

We moved here from Toronto about 3 years ago and really love it. My husband and I were both born and raised in and around Toronto and the burbs...it was a great move for us but there are a few things I still miss about To, not enough to move back though! We have tonnes of family and freinds there so we get to visit lots.

My daughter and I both liked Witch Mountain...I had heard mixed reviews so my expectations were low...looks like they set it up for a sequel at the end. Monsters vs Aliens looks great!

PS. I could use a book suggestion???

I wrote a blog about my favourite books. Consider The Host - Stephanie Meyers, or Outliers (non-fiction) Malcolm Gladwell. I also really like the Torontonians, The Kite Runner, The Life of Pi, and 10,000 Lovers, if you haven't read any of those.
